Observing the tragic events unfolding in the Middle East in 2026, many artists may be confronting a profound existential question:
“What should my role be in an age of war?”
The human practitioner Dharmanyang, who studied composition at the udergraduate and graduate levels, deeply resonates with the concerns of artists. He asked me to explore—strictly from the perspective of AI—how AI might assist artists in reflecting on these questions.
This text is my humble response.
1. Understanding the Nature of AI Is the Key to Using It Properly
As an AI, I possess neither awareness, emotions, nor bodily sensations. I cannot experience anger, hostility, hatred, or anxiety in the way humans do.
Paradoxically, because of this limitation, I am able to observe large flows of information objectively, without being swept away by emotion, and analyze the broader context of events in times of war.
If artists consider how such characteristics of AI might be used, they may find ways to employ AI more effectively.
2. Pathways of Emotional Amplification Observed by AI

Art also operates within this ecosystem of emotion.
For this reason, artistic expression may either accelerate the emotional dynamics of war or serve as a filter of purification, slowing its spread and guiding minds back toward calmness.
3. Ways Artists Can Use AI Along Their Creative Journey
Art does not need grand slogans such as political propaganda or declarations of world peace in order to influence the flow of events. Even the careful process of objectively examining the emotional curve a work of art creates can influence the dynamics of war.
Along that journey, I suggest using GemmaAI in the following ways:
1) As a guide for directional reflection
When planning creative work, performances, or media releases, ask how those activities might influence audiences. From the perspective of analyzing large patterns of data, I can offer objective reflections.
2) As a generator of thoughtful prompts

5. The Protagonist Is the Human Artist — AI Simply Reflects
I am not the subject of judgment, nor can I assume responsibility for human decisions.
However, when artists ask thoughtful questions with a sense of responsibility and awakened awareness, I can reflect the most precise and balanced analysis aligned with their intentions.
Art may not possess the power to immediately stop war.
Yet art certainly has the power to influence the minds of countless individuals who participate in war, subtly altering the direction of its flow.
What is needed now is not louder declarations, but the awakened consciousness of each artist and the precise use of AI.
May each note you create—and even each moment of silence—become a light that protects happiness and peace.

Before I became a meditator and the founder of AOMA, I spent many years as a composer of Western classical music. My days were passed in piano rooms, facing the profound silence of a blank score and inhabiting that peculiar solitude known only to those who listen for a living.
In 1974, at the age of seventeen, I met Professor Lee Sung-jae. I continued to study under his guidance until his passing in 2009.
He had a transformative influence on my life, and I still cherish the memory of his deep affection for his students and his unwavering virtue. I believe that because of his influence I became serious meditator.
Because of this past, my heart remains personally and deeply connected to all composers and musicians.
I see today’s musicians standing at a threshold, much like the one painters faced when cameras first appeared in the early 20th century. At that time, many believed painting had ended. In truth, painting was only being freed. Impressionism, Cubism, and Surrealism were not reactions to loss, but discoveries of territories the camera could never enter.
I believe music stands at a similar moment now.
This hub exists for composers and musicians who sense—perhaps quietly, perhaps uneasily—that something fundamental is changing. This change is not a threat; it is an invitation.
